Awkwafina
Awkwafina began as a American performer and rapper, making sly songs that addressed questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer was able to release a number of songs. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was in the form of trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. In the college years, she remained focused on her studies and studied women's studies as well as journalism. In a short period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. When she graduated, she started to pursue music as her main focus. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. This album also featured songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. The final track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. The resume of her included musicians and an author. Now she was looking for a new career path in acting. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018 she got a series of notable performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
